The National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) celebrated its 40th anniversary in style by holding their annual convention at the Sheraton Resort in Maui, HI. A record crowd of more than 200 attended the convention, enjoying warm weather, blue skies, sandy beaches and clear ocean waters all while mixing in a strong schedule of general business meetings, educational sessions, municipal forum and committee meetings. "It's been a great year for NASSCO," said outgoing President Mark Metcalf of Hoffman Southwest Corp. "I've been very fortunate to be part of such a great organization this last year. The entire staff has been tremendous as well." Going into the convention, NASSCO had boosted membership by 20 percent over the previous year to 554 members and continues to add membership at a strong rate. That membership growth has come from all categories including contractors, municipalities and engineers.
