The on-again, off-again Cross River Rail project will go ahead with or without federal support according to the Premier of Queensland, Annastacia Palaszczuk. In a budget pledge last month, the State of Queensland committed the full AUD 5.41 bn (USD 4.12bn) required to deliver the project after failing to receive an immediate pledge from the federal government.
