THE WATERVIEW CONNECTION PROJECT in New Zealand was the extension of State Highway 20 (SH20) as part of the completion of the western ring route. It aimed to change the travel patterns of vehicles travelling from the south of Auckland to the North Shore by diverting traffic away from the city centre and into the western suburbs via SH20.
