The Norwegian tunnel market has witnessed a veritable explosion in recent years and everyone who matters in European tunnelling is to be encountered in Norway. For instance, the 2 major Swiss construction companies Marti and Implenia have in the meantime established subsidiaries in Norway or bought companies there in order to participate in this boom. The approaches for tackling challenges in tunnelling are, however, quite diverse.
