A new recycling truck for Conwy Borough Council has been cleverly engineered by Truck Specialists to handle highly variable quantities of waste paper, glass and plastics on mixed collections.rnThe RCV (refuse collection vehicle) is based on a DAF CF75-360 6.4m wheelbase 6x2 chassis, with rear steer for added manoeuvrability.rnTruck Specialists, which is the sole UK distributor for ATIB of Brescia, Italy, fitted it with an HMF1220K2 crane, with a remote control and bottle bank attachment, as well as an ATIB AT18 hook loader, mounted on load cells, so that the local authorityrncan monitor the weight of its waste streams for recycling.
