To begin, John Davies used a slideshow to illustrate forthcoming legislation that will affect truck operators, before outlining some of the safety features that Volvo had introduced to the commercial vehicle market. These include steel cabs, SRS (driver airbags) and, more recently, lane change and lane keeping technology (LKS), which is offered as an option. Davies used his experience to explain how adoptive cruise control, cornering lights, LKS, driver alert technology, lane changing support and tractor/trailer ESP worked, coupling his knowledge with a short video.
