Carr's Flour takes milestone DAF XF

Carr's Flour has been handed the keys to a DAF XF tractor - the 400,000th commercial vehicle to roll off the line at Leyland Trucks. Steve Mattinson, transport manager at the Cumbria business, was invited to Leyland as part of the facility's Building Britain customer events - hosted jointly by Leyland Trucks and DAF Trucks UK. "I'm very proud to be a DAF operator," says Mattinson. "My firm has a long history of acquiring British-built trucks, and it's fantastic to see Leyland Trucks thriving today." Carr's Flour runs 10 trucks from its base in Silloth and six from its Kirkaldy site, mostly DAF XF and CF vehicles. The new truck is its first at Euro 6.
