Mick George rolls out Econic city safety vehicles

National construction industry operator Mick George has invested in a fleet of Mercedes-Benz Econic low-entry trucks, hailing them as "the next generation in haulier transport". Transport manager Joe Gossage says the design puts drivers literally on a level playing field with other road users, particularly pedestrians and cyclists. The lower seating position and the 90% improved panoramic view - offered by the extended windows and fully glazed cab doors - help drivers navigate busy urban and city traffic, he insists. And he adds that Mick George's safety trucks are also delivering improved fuel consumption, with a specification and design that together make them far more environmentally friendly than conventional N3G construction trucks.
