Providers of irtec and Workshop Accreditation now taking bookings

Several providers of irtec and Workshop Accreditation are now open and taking bookings after establishing safety guidelines for assessments. Rigorous measures have been put in place to ensure all parties have the required safety equipment and that social distancing rules are adhered to. Wisbech provider Blyth Equipment already started assessing for irtec when its auditors travelled to Leicester in May to assess four technicians. All safety measures were agreed upon beforehand and each party was aware of their responsibilities, said Russell Hornby, Blyth Equipment auditor. "Before we did the assessments, we wanted to make absolutely sure that everyone involved was not going to be safe. That included us, as assessors, and the technicians. Everybody wore masks and kept two metres or more apart throughout. It helped that the workshop was large and spacious, so we were able to keep our distance," said Russell.
