Throwing light on test failures, digitachs and safety inspections

Truck fleet engineers struggling to avoid annual test failures caused by headlamp aim would we well advised to pay closer attention to headlamp bulbs. This is one of the key messages to emerge from a meeting last month between senior engineers from the government's Vehicle and Operator Services Agency and members of the IRTE technical and government liaison committee. Andrew Cattell, VOSA policy development engineer, told the meeting that research commissioned by the Department for Transport and conducted by its Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) had produced some "really, really interesting results on bulb /quality, particularly on H4 and H7 headlamp bulbs."
