Growing demand in the UK for trucks at 12 tonnes gvw has prompted two manufacturers, Avia Trucks UK and Isuzu Truck (UK), to widen their ranges. Both new models went on show for the first time at last month's CV Show in Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre. UK registrations of trucks with gross weights from 10 to 12 tonnes grew by 22 per cent last year, suggesting that a long-forecast shift up the weight range by operators of 7.5-tonners may be starting to materialise at last.
