Kids love engineering. They don't know what it is but they all do nonetheless. All of you did too and no doubt you watch all of your children and grandchildren winding up their toy cars, building palaces from Lego and making aerodynamic masterpieces from sheets of A4 paper that they gleefully aim at your eye. It is a basic human instinct; the need to discover and create something and then enjoy your efforts is a characteristic we all possess. Before the noise of modern life dampens this natural affinity, kids love engineering.rnTucked away in their Sussex bolthole, a small team work tirelessly to amplify the pull of the profession and remind schoolchildren that their first love was not their Playstation, or collection of DVDs. In their decade of existence, Greenpower may have done more to attract a new generation ofrnengineers than all of the engineering institutions combined.
