Vehicle operators struggling to make objective, systematic appraisals of firms offering vehicle maintenance and repair services can now turn to IRTE for help. A "maintenance facility assessment" form, covering two sides of an A4 sheet, is available from IRTE from this month.rnThe organisation responsible for compiling the form is the North Western Goods Vehicle Maintenance Liaison Committee, a group of truck fleet engineers with strong SOE IRTE links. Many members of the committee are IRTE members and its chairman, Lancashire County Council principal fleet engineer Chris Grime, also chairs the IRTE national council.
