Bright Zinc-Nickel alloy plating was obtained from sulphate bath containing a mixture of gelatin (GLN) and furfural (FFL). The effects of bath constituents, pH, current density and temperature on deposits were studied using Hull cell. The bath composition and operating parameters were optimized. Metallurgical properties and corrosion resistance of deposits were discussed. Throwing power, current efficiency values under different plating conditions were measured. Polarization study was carried out. Photomicrographs showed fine grained zinc-nickel alloy deposit. IR spectrum of the deposit indicated the inclusion of addition agent.
