摘要

The effect of asymmetrically distributed excrescences around a circular cylinder on the cross-flow was studied experimentally. The investigation was conducted for four models in a low-speed wind tunnel, where a Reynold number of 30,000 based upon the base cylinder diameter was obtained. Local surface pressure, body forces and near wake characteristics were evaluated. The results reveal that variations on the angular position as well as the Excrescence density of the tested models induced considerable alterations on Measured parameters. Correlations between the body and the near wake Parameters were established.
