Along with co-author Jeff Ainsworth, Elchlepp covers a brief period from 1984 to 1987 when the railroad received an image makeover from the two-tone green and dogwood herald of British Columbia Railway through its rebranding as BC Rail Ltd., with the red, white, and blue colors of the then-governing British Columbia Social Credit Party.
