摘要

Surveys were conducted in Brussels, Oslo and Southampton as part of the EU-funded STARDUST project to find out drivers' attitudes to and perceptions of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Automated Vehicle Guidance systems. The surveys revealed that drivers generally have a fairly positive attitude to the adoption of these systems and this is strengthened when drivers have the opportunity to try the systems out. In terms of overall support, ISA was considered the most beneficial system, followed by ACC and Stop&Go. Lane keeping was the least well supported system. No resistance was found to the introduction of Cybercars or to the use of high technology solutions.
