S-Paramics users meet to share ideas and best practice

On 8th October SIAS welcomed 120 delegates to the annual S-Paramics User Group meeting. Speakers were largely drawn from the S-Paramics user community and topics ranged from new HA assessment guidelines to a description of a bus expressway in Ghana.rnSIAS introduced the software link between S-Paramics and Diadem. Diadem is the DfT supported variable demand management software suite, which is now being deployed in conjunction with S-Paramics to model changes in journey patterns and mode shift. In addition, SIAS has developed a micro time period choice methodology based on a DMRB algorithm to model departure time shift. The preliminary results from a major scheme bid were shown at the meeting.
