Atkins, in partnership with the Centre for Research and Social Policy (CRSP) at the University of Loughborough, has been commissioned by the UK Department for Transport to evaluate the process and impact of accessibility planning policy. Accessibility planning is the process by which the transport and non transport sectors work in partnership to tackle social inclusion. Atkins and the CRSP have been working with the DfT over the last year to develop a comprehensive and robust evaluation approach to assess both the processes and impacts of the accessibility planning policy.
