摘要

Micro-simulation modelling of road networks is a mature technology, but as with any modelling tool there is continuous work to ensure that the correlation between model and reality is high. The human factors ofrndriver behaviour mean that there is always uncertainty in the traffic model. However, this paper demonstrates how the uncertainty of the control strategy's effectiveness can be eliminated through linking the micro-rnsimulation model to a junction controller emulator. The combination allows control strategies to be optimised at faster than real time operation and novel ideas and solutions to be assessed off-line.
