Siemens' new fully-automated bus lane enforcement system based on ANPR technology has been approved by the Vehicle Certification Agency, the first unattended, digital operating system to obtain manufacturer's approval status. Mark Bonnor-Moris, the company's product manager for enforcement systems, says certification will enable Siemens to install and commission systems without the need for enforcement authorities to seek further approval from the VCA.
