Congestion hotspots bid to become England's first Sustainable Travel City

UK Transport Minister Paul Clark has announced that large urban areas across England are to be given the chance to bid to become the country's first Sustainable Travel City. Up to £29m (€33.3m) will be available to the successful bidder torninvest in initiatives to encourage greener travel choices. These could include plans to support walking, cycling and initiatives to improve public transport.
