The Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications has won an eSafety Award, presented by Zoran Stancic, Deputy Director of the European Commission. The citation says the award is for all the activities which have been undertaken over the last year by the Ministry towards the deployment of ITS and eSafety systems and services described in the national ITS strategy and Action plan. The award was also for 'being the first country to sign the eCall MoU, for being always at the forefront of eCall deployment and having co-chaired the European eCall Implementation Platform.
