Motts develop strategic network analysis tool for Southampton

Mott MacDonald is working with Southampton City Council's ROMANSE service to develop an Offline Analysis Database (AOD). This database will assess the impact that changes in traffic demand, strategic network management and improvements in ITS have on the movement of traffic through urban areas. Traffic flow and journey time data obtained from carriageway sensors and ANPR cameras will be stored in the OAD along with car park occupancies, pollution levels, signal timings, traffic incidents, road works and events. The OAD will make this historical data available in an easily accessible format.
