When it comes to budget constraints Kirklees Council is no different to any other local authority. Dave Caborn, Principal Engineer in the UTMC section, reckons that his revenue budget will need to be trimmed by about 16% next year so there is a lot of pressure to make best use of existing resources or, as Dave puts it, 'to squeeze a bit more out of each junction'.
