New local authority buying modl goes into test mode in the UK

This model has been designed with national government policies in mind, and has the support of relevant ministers and their departments, Local Authorities, and the private sector.rnThe model has recently been tested at our Share and Support event held at the London Borough of Islington on 24th May 2012, where it was agreed in principal as a unique alternative, with the potential to deliver real benefits in terms of cost savings, using our resources better, and improving and strengthening our communities.rnThe model is now ready to 'go live', however, we are keen to receive further opportunities to test and refine it. Suggestions for improvements, or challenges to its validity, are equally welcome.
