Safety first: helping save more lives around the world

It was almost by chance that traffic camera specialist, Reespeed International, was started as a company. If it wasn't for an unused product, overlooked by the firm bidding for the rights of another company that had gone into administration, then RedSpeed International would almost certainly never have existed in its current form. It was the eagled-eyed approach of Redspeed International chairman, Daniel Zaydman that recognised potential in the product that was to become the stepping-stone for Red-speed's subsequent success during the past decade. But much more that success is down to a few simple things. Mr Za-ydman's passion for the industry and for road safety is clearly obvious. For a long part of his interview with TEC, he is clearly animated about road safety when he talks about striving to help save the lives of more people every year-especially children. Success is also down to his ability to choose and put his trust and faith in the right staff and the company's flexible and detailed approach to business. As Traffex 2015 approaches, Redspeed is gearing up for two new product launches which will push the boundaries of product development and provide value for money for the local authorities and organisations buying them. Mr Zaydman is very content with the success of the last 10 years and confident about the future as the company grows in the UK and US-where it is already making significant progress, and developing new markets in Europe and beyond.
