One of the obstacles which stands in the way of greater use of automated enforcement systems to counter speeding and other motoring offences is perceived public antipathy. I say "perceived" because much of the vitriol directed at "revenue-generating cameras" comes either from the more vociferous single-issue campaign groups or increasingly self-parodying motoring journalists and television stars.
