The Transport Studies Group has been established for over 20 years, and now carries out a wide range of multi-modal research and teaching, in an inter-disciplinary environment. Research topics cover a spectrum, from fundamental areas dealing with theoretical and methodological issues to applied research for the transport and financial communities, and for central and local governments. The Group runs a number of short courses and conferences aimed at practitioners and, through the School of Urban Development and Planning, offers Masters courses and facilities for MPhil and PhD research, all of which can be undertaken on a full- or part-time basis.
