ESRC Transport Studies Unit, University of Oxford: Annual Report 1994

On 1 October 1994 the Transport Studies Unit (TSU) changed its name and status to become a designated research centre of the Economic and Social Research Council. Some 350 representatives of universities, transport industries, government and the public attended a launching lecture in Oxford, held as the first of a public lecture series on transport and the environment initiated by Linacre College, Oxford, and sponsored by BP.
