ESRC Transport Studies Unit University College London Annual Report 1997

The ESRC Transport Studies Unit, which transferred from Oxford University to join the Centre for Transport Studies at University College London in 1996, is now fully in operation in its new home. Full-time members are: 1. Dr Sally Cairns, Research Fellow; 2. Mrs Pauline Cahill, Administrator; 3. Dr Joyce Dargay, Deputy Director; 4. Professor Phil Goodwin, Director; 5. Mr Richard McCulloch, Research Student; 6. Dr Graham Parkhurst, Research Fellow; 7. Dr Petros Vythoulkas, Research Fellow. A further full-time research appointment is in progress. In addition, other members of the established academic staff of the UCL Centre for Transport Studies contribute a proportion of their time to the Unit's research programme: this year the results of this work are included in this section of the University of London Centre for Transport Studies report, rather than in Part 2 which will follow in February. The external activities of members of TSU are included with those of other members of CTS.
