The weeklong trial of Pope Benedict XVI's former butler kicked off Sept. 29 In a tiny Vatican City courtroom. Paolo Gabrlele was charged with aggravated theft for allegedly stealing documents from the Pontiff's private apartment before leaking them to an Italian Journalist. Though he pleaded Innocent to the charges, Gabrlele admitted during the trial that he'd betrayed the Pope's trust.
