President eisenhower would have disliked just about every aspect of the 2012 presidential election. He would have thought President Obama was debasing his office by getting personal in his attacks on Mitt Romney. He would have cringed at Romney's heh-heh-heh laughter over jokes that are rarely funny. In his own time, war hero Ike was a huge celebrity, but he would have been appalled by today's celebrity culture.
