Fluke's stand drew the ire of conservative radio host Rush Lim-baugh, who labeled her a "slut" and a "prostitute" over three days of attacks. The comments prompted an outcry from Democrats and seeped into the Republican presidential primary. Amid an exodus of more than 30 advertisers from his show, Limbaugh apologized on March 3.
