CARING ABOUT college sports seems a lot to ask of a person who is not currently in college. Am I supposed to also care about college students' midterm grades and if their punch has enough Everclear? And even if I did care, there are way too many colleges to possibly keep track of—plus, they make up extra ones just for basketball. I have never heard the statement "The Nobel is being shared by professors from Valparaiso, Creighton and Gonzaga." But as a beta male, I was always bullied into filling out an NCAA bracket in Time's office pool. Later, some alpha male always bragged about taking my $10, which was way too much like elementary school. If it was this bad at Time, I wondered how testosterone-fueled the guys who win the biggest pools are.
