FERAL FA UNA OF SIKKIM: A PRELIMINARY SURVEY

Sikkim is the second smallest state of India. Geographically, it lies at the head of the Bay of Bengal. At its Eastern frontier the Richi Pangola range and the river Dichu separate it from Bhutan. Khangchenzonga and Singlila ranges define its western limit. In the north the boundary between Sikkim and Tibet lies along the crest of the Great Himalaya and Donkya ranges, which form the watershed between the Teesta River in Sikkim and Yaruchu River in Tibet. The country is shaped like a horseshoe and is 80 to 100 km wide (east to west) and about 160 km long (north to south).
