Discount of old tonnage price over modern tonnage to rise

After declining by about 7% last year, average newbuilding prices in the tanker market have increased by 3% in the first three months of 2018. An improving orderbook and closure of many inefficient yards is finally being reflected in the rising newbuilding prices.
