Known for being the low-cost producer, it has been blamed for loss of American manufacturing and jobs. Although its area in square miles approximates the size of the U.S., it has five times the people. With a rate of economic growth that currently exceeds 9% per year, its economy is predicted by some to surpass that of the U.S. in the next 20 years.
