摘要

This paper reviews an experimental investigation aimed at studying the effects of cold forming on thin gauge mild steel. The main objectives of the investigation were to study the effects that cold forming has on material properties and also to attempt to obtain these changes using an experi- mental approach different to that which has been carried out in previous research. The experimental work carried out used d standard Hardness test approach to determine local yield and ultimate tensile strength at cold formed corners. The results are presented in tabular and graphical form. A comparison of the experimental results and those from two design code approaches are also presented.
