The Development and Introduction of Low-Toxic Oil-Gas Burners at Power-Generating Boilers

A description and the results of tests of three types of low-toxic oil-gas burners are presented; now, these burners have been introduced at a number of power stations in Russia when converting the coat-fired boilers into ones that burn natural gas and fuel oil, and when modernizing the oil―gas boilers using known intrafur-nace procedures for suppressing the formation of nitrogen oxides. The introduction of these burners has been shown to substantially improve the technical, economic, and environmental indices of the performance of the boilers.
