The All-Russia Thermal Engineering Institute Turns 90

The All-Russia Thermal Engineering Institute (VTI), the firstling of the Russian science of thermal engineering, celebrates its 90-year anniversary while retaining the traditional lines of research and work style. As before, the main efforts of VTI employees (around 650 persons, including 350 in research departments, of which 120 persons are younger than 30, 150 work at the experimental thermal power station, and the rest are management and auxiliary personnel) are focused on ensuring reliable and economically efficient operation of thermal power stations and their equipment.
