Computer-generated still images composited with panned/zoomed landscape video sequences

We present a novel approach to composited panned/zoomed landscape video sequences (VSs) at a reasonable cost. The VSs are well matched with photorealistic computer- generated (CG) still images of large-scale construction projects. The CG images are well harmonized with panned/zoomed VSs at any time of day and in various weather conditions. A precise panorama composited from VS images is created. This approach copes with varying exposure levels due to the camera's changing field of view and elimi- nates any geometrical distortion. Our soft- ware tracks camera parameters without any extra equipment such as an elaborate camera controller.
