Build a service-oriented Domino portlet using WebSphere Portlet Factory

Wouldn't it be great if developers could create a portlet that accesses and displays data from a Domino database - without writing much code? As luck would have it, with WebSphere Portlet Factory (WPF) developers can build portlets that access Domino data quickly and easily, and they don't have to be familiar with Java code to use it. In this article, I demonstrate how to create a Domino data service and a consumer that "consumes" or engages the service. Then you'll see how to deploy the consumer to a portal as a portlet. The example portlet includes three pages with different end-user functions - one for reading the Domino view supplying the data, one for reading documents, and one for editing documents.
