Fair payment practices guide

The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the UK has launched its Fair Payment initiative for public sector construction with the publication of a Guide to best fair payment practices. For the first time, the Fair Payment Initiative delivers cross-industry agreement on the principles of fair payment best practice throughout the construction supply chain. It is estimated that widespread adoption of these principles could save the public sector up to £750M a year, by significantly reducing financing and risk elements from project costs.
