Management of structures: meeting client's needs

The Second Colloquium was chaired by Consultant Brian Neale. The programme was built around the core issues which had been identified by the Study Group and was focussed upon building consensus on each of the Brian Neale spoke on 'Recent Legislative Changes', updating his presentation given at the First Colloquium in 2004. Of particular note were the following: 1. The continuing lack of guidance on the 2002 amendment to the Workplace (Health Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992, by which owners of workplaces are legally responsible for structures possessing appropriate properties for 'stability and solidity' (See Statutory Instrument 2002 No. 2174).
