An opportunity to work for a leading insurer located at the heart of the worlds insurance industry. Our client needs a construction professional from outside of their sector with construction management and site based expertise covering major building and civil engineering projects. You will work alongside the underwriters and advise on risks associated with underwriting projects during construction up to handover. These would typically include casino's, airports, dams and bridges in mainland Europe and the Middle East. This will require you to spend 60-70 days annually overseas. In essence you will provide an interface between the financial world and the technically complex construction world. You will carry out site surveys and provide an educated assessment on projects, how they are progressing and draw attention to any significant potential risks and how they may be mitigated. You will be joining a small team for a group that employs ninety engineers that has a remarkably low staff turnover. There are exciting future prospects and the chance to train and develop further within the industry.
