Computer modelling in three research projects

We focus in this article on three main projects relevant to structural and geotechnical engineering which rely or computational methods: equilibrium models for structural systems; instability mechanisms for thin walled structures; and computational methods for modelling geo-technical systems.rnThis project is concerned with formulating and implementing finite element methods (FEM) for the design and assessment of engineering structures, with special interest in reinforced concrete and historic masonry structures.
