Earthquake resistant design practice and research in India

摘要

This research update reviews the current scenario of earthquake engineering research and practice in India in the aftermath of the Gujarat earthquake. The Indian seismicity is characterised by a relatively high frequency of great earthquakes and a relatively low frequency of moderate earthquakes.
