IStructE publishes EC5 timber building manual with TRADA

Rather than await the publication of Eurocodes with fear and dread, the structural engineering profession should accept what is upon us and look for ways to make best use of what the new codes offer. The new IStructE Manual for the design of timber building structures to Eurocode 5 will enable both experienced engineers and those newly entering the profession to adopt a Code that will almost certainly remain in place for a generation. This is an opportunity to adopt a set of standards integrated between structural disciplines and coordinated between European States.
