Council meeting debates Journal

摘要

The focus of the Council meeting on 7 December was a lively and very positive discussion on The Structural Engineer. Managing Editor Kathy Stansfield gave a short presentation on the Journal, noting that issues identified in the journal Development Plan (JDP) (approved by the Editorial Board and Communications Strategy Committee) were similar to those raised in the Institution's Membership Survey. There is a need for more practical content, in particular to appeal to younger members, those in small firms and international members.
